Termite test method classification
(1) Knockdown Method
Scope of application
This method is used to determine the knockdown time of the worker termites of domestic termites after coming into contact with the sample containing antiseptic.
(2) Experimental Colony Method
Scope of Application
This method is applicable to wire and cable products and their sheathing materials which have been treated with or without drugs.
(3) Nest Method
Scope of application
This method is applicable to toxic, non-toxic or new wire and cable products or materials for long-term assessment of termite infestation.
2、Laboratory Test Method for Toxicity of Wood Preservatives to Termites GB/T18260-2000
This standard specifies the toxicity test method of wood preservatives for termites (CoptotermesformosanusShiraki) in vacuum treated specimens under laboratory conditions.
This standard applies to the determination of the toxicity range of preservatives in treated wood after loss aging. This standard can also be used for the determination of the comparison of the toxicity size of different preservatives to Taiwan termites.
