I. Cellular mycoplasma detection
For the detection of cellular mycoplasma we offer a variety of methods, including: microbial culture, DNA staining, enzyme biochemical detection, PCR detection, Elisa detection, RNA/DNA hybridization, isothermal amplification method. The scary thing about mycoplasma contamination is that without specific testing, it goes unnoticed and is invisible to the naked eye.
In addition, due to the limited size and relatively low multiplication rate of these bacteria, contaminated cell cultures do not show reduced pH or significant turbidity. However, mycoplasma contamination may be present and persistent despite frequent antibiotic use and may affect cells.
In contaminated cell cultures, these bacteria compete with the target cells for nutrients. They affect levels of DNA, RNA and protein synthesis, alter gene expression and influence cell membranes, organelles, cell morphology and antigenicity. As a result, they can inhibit cell growth, cell metabolism and may lead to cell death. Therefore, undetected mycoplasma contamination fundamentally questions the relevance and validity of the results.
II. Cellular STR identification
STR (Short Tandem Repeat) is a class of DNA tandem repeat sequences widely found in eukaryotic genomes, and there is individual difference polymorphism in the number of repeats of its core sequences, so STR is also known as the cell's DNA fingerprint.
It is estimated that about 20% of established cell lines are of the wrong cell type or species origin and about 30% have inter- or intraspecies cross-contamination (ICLA Contaminated Cell List). Cross-contamination and misidentification of cell lines have become a major hazard to basic biomedical research and the biomedical industry, and have led to erroneous conclusions in scientific research, non-reproducible results, and failure of clinical cell therapy. Therefore, authoritative organizations such as NIH, ATCC, Science and Nature have repeatedly issued appeals and required researchers to identify cells. Whether it is an article submission, a grant application, a cell therapy or the construction of a cell bank, whether or not the cells have an “identity” is an important and indispensable part of the process.

Karyotype analysis
Chromosome karyotype analysis (karyotype analysis), refers to the chromosomes of the cell to be tested in accordance with the inherent chromosome morphology and structural characteristics of the organism, in accordance with certain provisions, artificial pairing, numbering and grouping, and the process of morphological analysis. Chromosomes of different species have their own specific morphological and structural characteristics (including chromosome number, length, location of the nodes, arm ratios, follower size, etc.), and such morphological characteristics are relatively stable.
After staining or fluorescence labeling of chromosomes, through certain optical or electrochemical color development equipment can be clearly and intuitively observed the specific morphological structure of chromosomes, and then compared with the normal karyotype to find the differences, and then determine the chromosomal deletions, duplications and inversions and other phenomena.
